GIFs

Goal: Add 1+ GIF to each page of your site

What IS a GIF?

GIF stands for Graphics Interchange Format.

It is a type of file that allows you to to have an animated image on your site.  

Remember when we did research and noticed some websites had movement that drew your attention and added interest?

GIFs are an easy and fun way to add movement and interest to your site.

  1. Go to giphy.com.

  2. Find an image you like.

  3. Click on it.

  4. Click on COPY LINK.

Double click on the GIF link to highlight it.

Right click and choose COPY

You are going to upload a link.

 

Here's how:

  1. Go back to your website and go to the page you'd like your GIF on.

  2. Click on the MEDIA button 

  3. Click on the UPLOAD MEDIA button.

  1. Click the LINK button

  2. Paste the link you copied where it says "paste your link here". You can paste by right clicking and choosing PASTE.

  3. Click IMPORT

  1. Your GIF will upload to your media files. (This may take a minute.​)

  2. Click ADD TO PAGE

To change size, drag corners

Hold and drag to rotate

And now your GIF is on your page!

You can change the size, rotate it, move it around, etc.

Stop!     

Take time now to add at least one GIF on each page.
